One of the most notable technological developments of our time is the Internet. In a short period of time, it has reached an unprecedented critical mass in terms of the number of sites that are connected around the world and people who access them. This along with other features, such as the ability to deliver data, voice, and video across the network holds the potential to hasten information delivering and narrow the gap between countries. In an increasingly information-intensive society, we face serious problems keeping pace and adapting to the rapidly changing times and technologies.
IUST Computer Centre recognizes the importance of these ICT technologies and endeavors to provide the best service available. IUST computer and network services are available non-stop around the clock. All staff and students should have been given a university email and webpage ID. The university widely adopts information and communication technologies to support teaching and learning. We provide an ample disk quota to each staff and student so that they could freely use our electronic mail service to facilitate their electronic mail communications over a web mail interface. We have also installed a high-speed and sophisticated campus network infrastructure with extensive coverage in the university.
On the hardware side, the center maintains a number of high performance computer servers to support computational-intensive research activities in the university. Numerous wireless access points are now installed across the campus.
