Start planning your Exchange early!

Get started by refering to the appropriate Office 365 setup guide for your device. Western University Campus Agreement: Windows Enterprise Upgrade (an existing Windows OS license must exist): Windows 7 Enterprise (32 or 64-bit) upgrade; Windows 8.1 Enterprise (64-bit) upgrade; Windows 10 Enterprise (32 or 64-bit) upgrade. Student File Storage All Graduate and Undergraduate Students. All Western Students have access to 1 TB of free storage on Microsoft OneDrive with their Microsoft Office 365 email. Tip: Save your active essays and assignments to two locations. If you save everything to a Flash drive so you can take it to and from school, save an extra copy on OneDrive or your Social Science Personal Storage.

It is highly recommended that you plan your exchange for your third year, in order to ensure you will meet your degree requirements.
If you attend an exchange in your final year, please note that it may delay your graduation to the following ceremony depending on when grades are released by the host University.
For DAN Management students, some Universities will be better exchange partners than others. In advance of selecting your school, do some research. Find out what courses they offer and whether there are restrictions on certain courses. We have provided a sample of potential Exchange Universities below.

To start, you apply for an Exchange through the International Exchange Program:

https://www.uwo.ca/international/learning/go_abroad/index.html

Upon acceptance into the exchange program, you will receive an Exchange form from their office.
Next, refer to the Steps for approval on the Social Science Counselling website:

http://counselling.ssc.uwo.ca/procedures/Exchange%20Permission.html

DAN Department of Management & Organizational Studies Advisors will only evaluate courses that fall under our scope. If you plan to take a Psychology, Economics, English, or other subjects, you must bring your form and full course syllabi to those offices for approval as well.

Once all courses have been approved by the Departments, you must submit your form and descriptions to Gail Wright, Senior Counsellor in the Dean's Office, SSC 9438 for review and final approval.

Germany: European Business School

Another popular German destination for DAN Management students looking to study abroad. Half of their courses are taught in English, but they do offer German lessons to visiting students. When selecting courses, be sure to choose Modules, rather than individual courses to ensure you are receiving the correct number of ECTS. The full course load for one semester at EBS is 30 ECTS Credits.
Please note: (from the EBS Handbook) EBS Bachelor's courses are taught in modules. Modules are groups of courses which are linked together by a single exam and which can only be registered for as a whole. Example: Module M-FIN2-002 'Finance' consists of the two courses ' L-FIN2-002 Corporate Finance and Valuation' and 'L-FIN2-003 Real Estate Fundamentals and Finance'. It is not possible to attend only L-FIN2-002 or only L-FIN2-003. Students have to register in the entire module (here = 2 courses).

The Netherlands: Radboud University

Radboud University is a new exchange partner looking to host DAN Management students. Offering a variety of courses within their Nijmegen School of Business that applies to Western University courses. Credits taken must be a minimum of 6 ECTS = 0.5 Western credits.
Students should watch out for the Semester Abroad program with Instructor Maria Ferraro held in January each year. Participants attend Radboud and complete three Western courses with Maria (MOS 3370B, 3367B and 3330B) plus two Radboud courses of their choosing from Semester 2 Block 3.

All Graduate and Undergraduate Students

All Western Students have access to 1 TB of free storage on Microsoft OneDrive with their Microsoft Office 365 email.

Tip: Save your active essays and assignments to two locations. If you save everything to a Flash drive so you can take it to and from school, save an extra copy on OneDrive or your Social Science Personal Storage drive (H: for Graduate Students only) just in case you lose your Flash drive or it becomes corrupt.

Desktop and My Documents

If you are working in any of the student labs in the Faculty of Social Science (SSC 1014, 1014B, 1020, and 6300) including Departmental user labs, your Desktop and My Documents folders are redirected to your Social Science personal storage space. There is only very limited space for undergraduate students for these redirected folders. The redirection is for your protection so you don't lose anything. However, we highly recommend that you save your files specfically to your H: (Graduate students only) or OneDrive so you know where to find them when working in other locations.

Graduate Students

SSTS provides our Graduate students with Social Science personal storage space. When you log onto any computer on the SSC Network, Graduate students will have an H: drive. This essentially includes the computer rooms in the SSC (rooms 1014, 1014B, 1020, and 6300) and in various Social Science Departmental computer labs.
